We have a large range of Vegetable plants grown in plastic strips and pots now on sale at the garden centre. With more than 100 varieties available over the course of the season you will be spoilt for choice.

Varieties throughout the season include;

Asparagus, Aubergine, Beans (8 varieties), Beetroot (2 Varieties), Black Kale, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Butternut Squash, Cabbage (6 varieties), Carrots (2 varieties), cauliflower, cauliflower Romanesco, Celeriac, Celery, Chard, Chilli Peppers (6 varieties), Chinese Broccoli, Chinese cabbage, courgette (2 varieties), Cucamelon, Cucumber (3 varieties), Curly Kale (2 varieties), Fennel, Globe Artichoke, Gourds Turks Turban, Kohl Rabi, Lambs Lettuce, Leek, Lettuce (11 Varieties), Mangetout, Marrow, Melon, Mizuna, Mustard (2  Varieties), Nasturtium (edible), Okra, Onions, Pak Choi Red and White, Parsnip, Peas, Sugar snap peas, Pumpkin, Purple sprouting Broccoli, Radish, Rocket wild, Salad leaf mix (3 Varieties), Shallot, Spinach, Spring onions, Swede, Sweet Pepper, Sweetcorn extra sweet and baby sweetcorn, Tomatoes (19 Varieties), Turnip and Strawberry (4 Varieties).

We also have Grafted Vegetable plants on sale from the week commencing Monday the 2nd of May.

These vegetable plants have been grafted onto extremely vigorous root stocks resulting in superior growth compared to seed raised plants.

Commercial crops are usually grown in this way and have shown to have the following benefits:

  • Stronger plants producing more fruit.
  • Start cropping earlier and continue later into autumn.
  • Have greater resistance to pests and diseases.
  • Have less susceptibility to nutritional disorders.
